VilniusRB Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the website vilniusrb.lt (the “Website”), operated by UAB RubyPlius (company code 306303110, VAT LT100018437914), Kalvarijų g. 176-55, LT-08205 Vilnius, Lithuania (“VilniusRB”, “we”, “us” or “our”). By using the Website or sending us a request through any form on it, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Website.
1. Subject
The Website provides information about the VilniusRB Ruby community, its meetups, talk recordings and job board, and lets you contact us. Information on the Website is provided for general purposes only and does not constitute an offer, a binding commitment or professional advice. Participation in VilniusRB events is also subject to our Code of Conduct. Any services are provided only under a separate written agreement between you and UAB RubyPlius; if such an agreement conflicts with these Terms, the agreement prevails.
2. Use of the Website
You may use the Website only for lawful purposes. You agree not to:
- submit false, misleading or third-party information without permission through our forms;
- send spam, malicious code or automated requests, or try to interfere with the operation or security of the Website;
- try to gain unauthorised access to the Website, its servers or any related systems;
- copy or scrape the Website’s content in bulk, except as allowed by law.
We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of the Website at any time without notice.
3. Intellectual property
Unless stated otherwise, all content on the Website — including texts, graphics, logos, images, design and code — is owned by or licensed to UAB RubyPlius and protected by intellectual property laws. Talk recordings and slides remain the property of their speakers or other rights holders. You may view and print pages for your personal, non-commercial use. Any other use, including reproduction, modification or distribution, requires our prior written permission. The VilniusRB name and logo may not be used without our consent. Third-party names and trademarks belong to their respective owners.
4. Third-party links
The Website may contain links to third-party websites and services (for example, video platforms, social networks and job listings). We do not control them and are not responsible for their content, availability or privacy practices.
5. Limitation of liability
The Website is provided “as is” and “as available”. We make reasonable efforts to keep the information accurate and up to date, but we give no warranty that it is complete, accurate or error-free, or that the Website will be uninterrupted or free of viruses. To the maximum extent permitted by law, UAB RubyPlius is not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, data or business opportunity, arising from the use of or inability to use the Website or reliance on its content. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

When you send us a request through a form on the Website, we process the data you provide (such as your name, email address and message) to respond to you and, where applicable, for community-related purposes. By ticking the consent box in a form you confirm that you have read these Terms and the Privacy Policy.
The Website uses Google Analytics cookies only if you accept them in the cookie banner; if you decline, analytics cookies are not set.
7. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The current version is always published on this page with the date of the last update. Continued use of the Website after a change means that you accept the updated Terms.
8. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Lithuania. Any disputes shall be resolved by the competent courts of the Republic of Lithuania. If you are a consumer living in the EU or the UK, you also keep the protection of the mandatory consumer protection rules of your country of residence.
